
Henrich II.
Henrich II., known as Henry II of Germany, was a significant figure in the Holy Roman Empire during the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries. He served as Emperor from 1014 until his death in 1024 and is remembered for his pious nature and commitment to reforming the church. His marriage to Kunhuta of Luxembourg was notable for their mutual vow of chastity, living together as brother and sister. After his death, Kunhuta became a nun and was canonized by Pope Innocent III in 1200.
