Henrik Andersen

Henrik Andersen is a former Danish football player, best known for his role as a left-back in the legendary Denmark national team that won the UEFA European Championship in 1992. Despite his significant contributions to the team's success, his career was marked by a tragic injury during the semifinals against the Netherlands, where he suffered a serious knee injury after a collision with Marco van Basten. This injury sidelined him for nearly a year and ended his participation in a crucial moment for Denmark. Born in Amager, Andersen began his career with Fremad Amager before moving to Anderlecht, where he won multiple titles. He later played for FC Köln before retiring in 1998 and transitioning to a role as a football agent.
