Henry Irving

Henry Irving was a prominent English actor and theater manager during the late 19th century, known for his powerful performances and charismatic stage presence. He was one of the first actors to be knighted and played a crucial role in popularizing the theatrical arts in Britain. Irving managed the Lyceum Theatre in London, where he produced and starred in many successful plays, including adaptations of classic literature. His friendship with Bram Stoker, who served as his business manager, significantly influenced the creation of the iconic character of Count Dracula.
