Henry Jeffrey

Dr. Henry Jeffrey is a former minister of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) in Guyana, where he held multiple portfolios including Housing, Health, Education, and Labour. Recently, he made headlines for his vocal criticism of the current government, accusing it of using racial and political manipulation to consolidate power. During his public address for the opposition coalition APNU, Jeffrey argued that voting along ethnic lines is not inherently wrong and challenged the government's narrative that it promotes. He highlighted issues of economic disparity and alleged coercive tactics used by the government to secure votes from Afro-Guyanese.
