Herbert Jeglič

Herbert Jeglič was a distinguished Slovenian handball referee, best known for his long-standing partnership with Štefan Jug, with whom he officiated at 11 World Championships and numerous international tournaments. Together, they were regarded as one of the best refereeing pairs in the history of handball. Jeglič's contributions to the sport were recognized not only through his officiating but also by his involvement in mentoring younger referees. He passed away on June 16, 2023, shortly before Jug, marking the end of an era for Slovenian handball refereeing.
