Herbie Ballentine

Herbie Ballentine, also known as 'Junior Ballentine,' is a 29-year-old man who gained notoriety after escaping from police custody at a hospital where he was being treated for injuries sustained during an altercation with law enforcement. Ballentine was shot by police during an attempted arrest on October 2, 2023, after allegedly attacking an officer with a knife. Following his treatment, he overpowered police and personnel from the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) as he was being released from handcuffs to sign a statement, facilitating his escape. Authorities have since launched a manhunt for him and are urging him to turn himself in.
