Hermeto Paschoal

Hermeto Paschoal was a celebrated Brazilian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger known for his innovative approach to music that blended jazz, classical, and Brazilian folk elements. Born on June 22, 1936, in Alagoas, he became a prominent figure in the Brazilian music scene, earning recognition for his extraordinary improvisational skills and unique sound. Over his long career, he collaborated with numerous artists and contributed significantly to the development of Brazilian music. Paschoal passed away in 2023, and he is being honored posthumously as a finalist in the Instrumentista do Ano category at the 2025 Prêmio Multishow.
