Hernando Toro

Hernando Toro served as the director of the Unidad Especial de Investigación (UEI) for four years, focusing on investigating crimes against social leaders, human rights defenders, and signatories of the peace agreement in Colombia. Recently, he was replaced by Andrés Escobar as part of a routine leadership change mandated every four years.
