Heron was involved in a significant cannabis operation that led to his conviction in 2021. Between 2013 and 2020, he reportedly netted approximately $1.28 million from illegal activities, which included operating a sophisticated cannabis growing facility in his garage. Following a police raid in 2020, authorities discovered 331 cannabis plants and seized large sums of cash derived from his illicit dealings. Despite his criminal past, Heron has since attempted to pivot to a legal business, establishing a micro-greens facility. Recently, he and his partner faced a Court of Appeal ruling regarding the confiscation of their properties linked to his illegal activities, which was upheld despite their appeal efforts.
