Hidajeta Tankovic

Hidajeta Tankovic is a Bosnian cellist known for her resilience and artistry during the Siege of Sarajevo. She played in the renowned concert held in the National Library of Sarajevo on June 19, 1994, amidst the destruction caused by the war. Her performance, on a borrowed instrument due to damage from artillery, became a symbol of hope and cultural perseverance in a time of great adversity.
