Hiromi Uehara

Hiromi Uehara, known simply as Hiromi, is a renowned Japanese jazz pianist and composer, celebrated for her virtuosic technique and innovative style that blends jazz with classical and rock influences. Born on March 26, 1979, in Hamamatsu, Japan, she began playing piano at a young age and later studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Hiromi has released numerous albums and has collaborated with various prominent musicians, earning accolades for her dynamic live performances. Recently, she was in the news as her scheduled performance in Shanghai was canceled amid rising diplomatic tensions between Japan and China.
