Hoàng Đạo Kính was the Director of the Central Design Institute for Heritage Restoration and played a significant role in documenting and advocating for the cultural heritage of Hoi An. His leadership in assembling a team of architects and historians helped prepare the necessary documentation for Hoi An's recognition as a national cultural heritage site.
