Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohseni Ejei is an Iranian cleric and politician who has served as the head of the Judiciary of Iran since August 2021. A member of the Assembly of Experts and the Expediency Discernment Council, he is known for his close ties to the Iranian leadership and his focus on legal reforms. Recently, he was in the news for requesting and receiving the approval of the Supreme Leader for a mass pardon and reduction of sentences for certain convicts in line with the upcoming celebrations of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and Imam Sadiq.
