
Hossam al-Saltaneh
Hossam al-Saltaneh, also known as Sultan Murad Mirza, was a prominent figure during the Qajar dynasty in Iran. He was the son of Abbas Mirza, the Crown Prince, and played a significant role in military and administrative affairs. In 1860, under the orders of Naser al-Din Shah, he constructed the magnificent Manzariyeh mansion in the scenic region of Shemiran, which became a favored recreational retreat for the Qajar royal family. Hossam al-Saltaneh's legacy is tied to the historical significance of the Manzariyeh garden, which has transformed over the years from a royal escape to a cultural and sports camp, reflecting the changing tides of Iranian history.
