Hsieh Dien-lin

Hsieh Dien-lin is a Taiwanese politician and current Changhua County Council Speaker, who has recently faced significant criticism for his tenure as chairman of the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA). Elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, he has been accused of mismanagement and negligence, particularly following a major game-fixing scandal in the Super Basketball League in 2023. His leadership has been characterized by online disputes with basketball fans and a failure to address pressing issues within Taiwan's basketball governance. Amid mounting pressure and calls for accountability, Hsieh announced his intention to step down from the CTBA in May 2024.
