Hugh Clement A. Brown

Hugh Clement A. Brown is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s Forestry Commission, having been appointed to this role in January 2025. A trained forester with a PhD in Tropical Forest Ecology, Brown has dedicated over three decades of his career to the Commission, where he has held various senior positions including Director of Operations and Executive Director of the Forest Services Division. Recently, he made headlines by filing a defamation lawsuit against political figure Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, claiming that false allegations made against him regarding corruption and forgery were damaging to his reputation.
