Hugh Governey
Hugh Governey was a respected director in the insurance industry and an accredited mediator based in Ballsbridge, Dublin. He played a pivotal role in various organizations, including serving as the chair of the Dublin Business Innovation Centre and being a board member of the Irish Credit Bureau and the Rehab charity organization. A native of Carlow, Governey was the largest shareholder in the former insurance agency Coyle Hamilton, which was sold to the US insurance giant Willis for €70 million in 2004. He passed away in February 2025, leaving an estate valued at €3.2 million.
