Hugo Marín Piva

Hugo Marín Piva is the coordinator of Pharmacoeconomics at the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) in Costa Rica. He has been instrumental in evaluating and introducing new medications into the official list, focusing on ensuring that treatments meet the needs of patients while maintaining sustainability within the healthcare system. Recently, he discussed the inclusion of 88 new medications that have expanded treatment options for various conditions, emphasizing the importance of thorough evaluations and the need for patient involvement in decision-making processes.
