Humayun Kabir Patowary

Humayun Kabir Patowary is a prominent political figure and leader of the Awami League in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh. He served as the president of the Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Awami League and was the chairman of the Char Ruhita Union Parishad. Patowary gained attention after being arrested in August 2024 following the July uprising that resulted in the party's removal from power. Recently, he made headlines as he became the first defendant to receive bail from the International Crimes Tribunal in a case concerning crimes against humanity linked to the July upheaval.
