Humberto Plaza Argüello

Humberto Plaza Argüello is a former Ecuadorian politician and architect who served as the governor of the Guayas province. He resigned from his position shortly after the government's defeat in a recent referendum and popular consultation on November 16, 2025. Plaza previously held the position of Minister of Urban Development and Housing before assuming the governorship on July 30, 2025.
