Ian Proctor

Ian Proctor is a carpenter and former employee of Inland Revenue, where he dedicated 35 years of service, earning a commendation for Frontline Excellence upon his retirement in 2021. He has been actively involved in local politics, running for the Māori Ward in the 2022 elections and advocating for practical solutions that resonate with the needs of the community. Proctor is also the president of the Moananui Longboarders and a surf lifesaver, balancing his passion for surfing with his commitment to serving diverse community interests. He is currently a candidate for the Gisborne council, campaigning on a platform centered around practicality and effective representation for all residents.
