Ibrahim Halawa

Ibrahim Halawa is the son of Sheikh Hussein Halawa, the imam of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland. He gained international attention after being imprisoned in Egypt for over four years without trial, and was released in 2017, bringing attention to issues of human rights and the treatment of individuals in the Egyptian judicial system.
