Ibrahim Huwaiya

Ibrahim Huwaiya is a prominent figure from the regime of Hafez al-Assad in Syria, known for his role as the head of intelligence during the dictatorship. He has recently been in the news following his arrest amid the largest insurrection faced by the new Syrian government since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, where he has been accused of organizing the assassination of Lebanese progressive leader Kamal Yumblatt in 1977.
