Ibtisam al-Jubouri

Ibtisam al-Jubouri is a women's empowerment officer in the Shura district of Iraq. She works tirelessly to advocate for the rights of returning women, particularly concerning education and tackling issues associated with early and cousin marriages. Al-Jubouri emphasizes the need for adult literacy programs and improved job opportunities for women, drawing from her personal experiences as a displaced person who returned to her community after fleeing the violence of ISIS.
