Ida Persson

Ida Persson is a Special Adviser to the Attorney General and the Head of the Post-TRRC Secretariat in The Gambia. She is instrumental in overseeing the implementation of over 190 recommendations from the Truth, Reconciliation, and Reparations Commission (TRRC), addressing the complexities involved with multiple institutions. Persson has highlighted significant progress made in transitional justice, including the establishment of a Special Accountability Mechanism and a Special Prosecutor’s Office, while also acknowledging ongoing challenges related to victim welfare and reparations.
