Ignacio Basterrechea

Ignacio Basterrechea is the director of the Camantulul project, an ambitious initiative aimed at developing a smart city in Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla. The project encompasses a modern industrial park, a research and knowledge city, and residential areas, with plans to generate 20,000 new formal jobs over the next 15 years. Basterrechea is focused on promoting the project to industries such as autoparts and food production, with construction expected to begin shortly.
