Ignacio Francisco Caneda, known as Frank, was an American of Galician descent born in 1918 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His life was marked by tragedy, as he was executed at the young age of 18 during the Spanish Civil War due to his anarchist beliefs. After years of uncertainty regarding his fate, his remains were identified in a mass grave in Navarra, Spain, in November 2024, finally allowing his family to honor him and lay him to rest alongside his loved ones.
