Ignjat Bajloni

Ignjat Bajloni was a Czech immigrant who arrived in Serbia in 1855, seeking a better life. As a skilled leather worker, he established himself in Topčider and later became an influential businessman after draining a swamp to build the best brewery in the Balkans. His family amassed significant wealth and contributed to the development of Belgrade. Ignjat is remembered for his pivotal role in the growth of his family’s legacy, which included the construction of a villa in the 1920s that still captivates onlookers today.
