Igor Žmirić

Igor Žmirić is a Serbian police officer, recently appointed as the commander of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit in Serbia. Born 46 years ago in Sombor, he has a distinguished career in law enforcement, beginning with the Yugoslav Army, followed by service in the Gendarmerie, and later the Anti-Terrorist Unit. He has received multiple accolades for his exemplary service, including the prestigious 'Jakov Nenadović' gold medal. In 2016, after the dissolution of the Anti-Terrorist Unit, Žmirić successfully transitioned to the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment to national security.
