Ihorangi Reweti-Peters

Ihorangi Reweti-Peters is a 19-year-old advocate who entered the state care system at just seven months old. He has bravely shared his experiences of abuse within the system and the challenges he faced while navigating his transition to independent living after leaving care. Having been placed in seven different placements over six years, Ihorangi has been vocal about the lack of support and preparation for young individuals leaving care, highlighting the urgent need for systemic change.
