Ilan Gabai

Ilan Gabai is a young Israeli soldier who immigrated from France and joined the Israeli Defense Forces after being inspired by the events of Operation Guardian of the Walls. Despite facing numerous challenges as a lone soldier, including a language barrier and lack of family support, he found a sense of community and assistance through the Michael Levin Center for Lone Soldiers. His activism for the rights of lone soldiers has become prominent, especially during times of conflict, advocating for necessary legislative changes to improve their living conditions and support systems.
