Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to teaching thesis writing and authored several influential books, including works focused on Panamanian culture and women's rights. Gólcher was also a journalist for La Prensa in the 1990s and conducted research on various social issues. Her passing at the age of 70 was confirmed by her son on August 4, 2023.
