Ilona Shcherbakova

Ilona Shcherbakova is a 35-year-old nurse from the village of Tikhinichi in the Rogachev district of Belarus. After attending the Orsha State Medical College, she worked as a nurse in a local hospital in Lepel. Following her divorce, which left her with two children aged 13 and 5, she met a Russian military man named Marsel in April 2023. Ilona later signed a contract with the Russian army on November 20, 2023, and has since shared her experiences from the front lines on social media, adopting the nickname 'medic Maila.'
