Imrich Marinčák was a Greek Catholic priest and one of the last witnesses of the Prešov Council, which forcibly united the Greek Catholic Church with the Orthodox Church under communist pressure. Born on July 8, 1928, in Fulianka near Prešov, he experienced the harsh realities of life during World War II, including being imprisoned in a concentration camp and later serving as a helper to partisans. Despite facing immense persecution, he remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to the Greek Catholic Church throughout his life. He was ultimately ordained as a priest at the age of 68 and was known for his deep faith, humility, and service to his community until his passing at the age of 97.
