Ina Kanabarro Lucas

Ina Kanabarro Lucas was recognized as the oldest person in the world at the age of 116, having been born on June 8, 1907, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A former nun and educator, she dedicated her life to teaching Portuguese and mathematics after moving to Montevideo and then returning to Brazil. Lucas was notable not only for her longevity but also for her resilience, having survived COVID-19 at the age of 112.
