
Indriķis Ģelzis
Indriķis Ģelzis is a prominent Latvian contemporary artist and a finalist for the Purvītis Prize 2025. He has gained international recognition for his work, having obtained a master's degree in Visual Communication from the Latvian Academy of Arts and furthered his studies at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts in Ghent. Since 2012, he has held 26 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs worldwide. His works are housed in esteemed institutions such as the S.M.A.K. Museum of Contemporary Art in Ghent, the collection of the Latvian National Museum of Art, and the Museum of Recent Art in Bucharest, among others. With a unique visual language, Ģelzis continues to solidify his position in the international art scene, and he is set to participate in the prestigious ARCO Madrid art fair.
