Inès Arsi, born in 1992 in Bizerte, Tunisia, is an emerging filmmaker and screenwriter known for her bold storytelling and commitment to social issues. After abandoning her pharmacy studies to pursue cinema, she graduated from the École supérieure de l’audiovisuel et du cinéma de Tunis, where her thesis project 'Oui mais non' garnered her a spot on the jury at the 74th Venice Film Festival. Inès has directed two short films, including the documentary 'Thick Skin' and the narrative film 'Chair et sang', which addresses women's bodily autonomy and abortion rights in Tunisia. Currently, she is developing her first feature-length documentary titled 'Pure Folie', which explores mental health issues and personal family history. Arsi's work reflects her desire to challenge societal norms and offer a nuanced perspective on women's experiences in the Arab world.
