Inês Lourenço
Inês Lourenço, born in 1942 in Porto, is a distinguished Portuguese author and academic. She graduated in Portuguese Studies from the Faculty of Arts and has had a varied career including roles in the postal service and secondary education. Since her literary debut in 1980 with 'Cicatriz 100%', she has published 18 books, leading up to her latest work, 'Ainda o Lugar Incerto da Procura', set to be released in 2024. From 1987 to 1999, she was the editor of the poetry magazine 'Cadernos de Poesia - Hífen'. In recognition of her contributions to literature, she received the Medal of Merit from the City of Porto in 2023, demonstrating her significant impact on Portuguese poetry and culture.
