Injaki Williams

Injaki Williams is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Athletic Bilbao in Spain's La Liga. Born in Bilbao to Ghanaian parents, he has made history as the first Black captain of the club in an era marked by the rise of extreme right-wing ideologies in Europe. Williams, who has previously faced racial abuse during matches, is proud of his heritage and represents many who have come from abroad seeking a better life. He has also chosen to represent the Ghana national team, while his brother Niko plays for Spain. Williams is committed to using his platform to challenge prejudice and promote inclusivity in football.
