Inocencio VII, born Cosimo de' Migliorati in 1330, was Pope from 1404 until his death in 1406. His papacy was marked by efforts to restore peace within the Catholic Church during a time of division known as the Western Schism. Inocencio VII convened the Council of Pisa in 1409 in an attempt to resolve the schism, though it ultimately failed. His short reign highlighted the challenges faced by the papacy in maintaining unity and authority within the Church.
