Ioannis Timagenis

Ioannis Timagenis is an architect and the head of the Acoustics Laboratory at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is currently overseeing a significant study of the acoustic behavior of the ancient Herodes Atticus Theatre in Athens, focusing on measuring the effects of sound vibrations on the monument during concerts. His innovative research aims to establish safe maximum noise levels to protect the structural integrity of the historic site, which is crucial as it prepares for restoration work.
