Ion Hong

Ion Hong is the Assistant Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nouakchott, Mauritania. She has been actively involved in addressing climate change challenges in the region, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development and climate resilience. Recently, she highlighted the urgent need for Mauritania to implement its third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to combat the effects of climate change, focusing on areas such as food security, water management, and renewable energy.
