
Ion Vinea
Ion Vinea, born Ion Eugen Iovanaki on April 17, 1895, in Giurgiu, was a prominent Romanian poet, prose writer, and a key figure in the Romanian avant-garde movement. He co-founded the literary magazine 'Simbolul' with Tristan Tzara and later led the influential publication 'Contimporanul' from 1922 for a decade, aiming to synchronize Romanian literature with international cultural currents.
