Irena Rakočević

Irena Rakočević is the General Director of the Directorate for the Protection and Equality of Persons with Disabilities in the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights. She has been actively involved in advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities in Montenegro, emphasizing the importance of legislative measures such as the law on unified disability assessment to ensure that individuals with disabilities can enjoy their human rights. Rakočević has reported a significant achievement in implementing the Strategy for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities from Discrimination, achieving a 95% effectiveness rate, while also highlighting the need for further legal reforms.
