Irene Jepkemboi

Irene Jepkemboi is a Kenyan javelin thrower currently representing Texas Christian University in the United States. She made headlines recently as she aimed to become the first woman javelin athlete from Kenya to qualify for the Tokyo World Athletics Championships. Despite her efforts, she fell short of the qualification mark, finishing ranked 40th in the world by the closing date of the qualification window.
