Irene Yagüe

Irene Yagüe is a Spanish filmmaker and co-director of the documentary 'La grieta', which explores the impact of housing crises in Madrid. She gained attention in late 2023 when she revealed that the city council, led by José Luis Martínez-Almeida, demanded the return of a subsidy previously granted to her project, citing administrative issues. Yagüe and her collaborator, Alberto García Ortiz, have since pursued legal action to reclaim the funds.
