Irina Shishkina

Irina Shishkina is the akim (mayor) of the Vagulin rural district in the Kyzylzhar region of North Kazakhstan. She recently drew attention during a dialogue platform for rural akims in Astana by highlighting the lack of access that rural akims have to state databases, prompting a response from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the need for improved digital access for local leaders.
