Irka Monis-Haas

Professor Irka Monis-Haas, the late mother of Idit Matot, was a pioneering anesthesiologist who worked at Rambam Medical Center, where she was one of the few female doctors in a male-dominated field. Her experiences during the Holocaust and her ability to maintain hope and resilience in the face of personal and professional challenges greatly influenced her daughter's life and career choices.
