Isaac Alukwe

Dr. Isaac Alukwe is the regional coordinator of the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program (NELSAP-CU), known for his work in promoting sustainable water resource management in East Africa. Recently, he was in the news for announcing the PRODERER project, which aims to develop a multi-purpose dam on the Ruvyironza River, funded by the African Development Bank. This project is expected to provide potable water, irrigation for agriculture, and electricity while creating thousands of jobs and enhancing resilience to climate change in the region.
