Islamic Jihad

Islamic Jihad is a militant organization based in the Palestinian territories, primarily known for its opposition to Israel and its role in various armed conflicts. The group, officially called the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), was founded in the late 1970s and has been involved in numerous attacks against Israeli military and civilian targets. Recently, it has been in the news due to its involvement in the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, particularly during the Israeli Defense Forces' operations targeting Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants.
